A new thought, a new life

If you spend your time trying to change things to be just as you want or your way, you could end up very tired and stressed! Your mind would always be working to create or make something happen and you could find you were constantly fighting for or against something.

It would not be possible to change all things because as each day unfolds, there seems to be more things that differ from your own view or understanding. Quite often we are left with a sense of dissatisfaction with the way things are, because all of the things ‘out there’ seem to be wrong!

From generation to generation there seems to be a common view that the new way is not as good as the old. This may even leave us battling in our minds, with negativity, blame, judgement, all of which subsequently affect the way we interact with others or in situations.

So how does this cycle change so that our minds and lives aren’t battling with everything out there? My view is that it is a process of change that can come to fruition because like any new skill, whether it is for a sport or work, there are steps that can be taken.

However if you’ve ever consciously learnt a new skill, you will know there are difficulties. Firstly it takes time to learn, it requires practise, it takes time to feel natural, it requires patience, willingness, persistence…. it is a big ask. So why would people invest the time?
The choices for people who are currently experiencing difficulty in their unfolding lives, are; continue just as they are and hope that the intensity of the issues don’t increase or decide to take the responsibility to experience life differently.

The great thing is that, like with any new skill, once learnt and natural the spin off effect and consequences can be really worthwhile on many levels.

A perspective to consider; everything in our world, the people in it and the resources available, are our gift. We have been given all of this to utilise in the best way for ourselves. All of these things don’t owe us anything. We have also been given resources within ourselves to utilise these gifts. So take advantage and the time to develop your own skills to engage fully with what is around you, to bring yourself, the absolute best quality.

It’s interesting over time, this way of nurturing our minds and valuing our world, seems to have been neglected to make way for the amazing advancement in science. So while, our technological advancements have certainly brought us many things, it may be time now, to focus our attention on mind and body.

So what are you waiting for?
My world

I am lucky enough, like you, like many before us,

And many yet to be,

To claim this as my world,

For hopefully many, but short years.

Choose what and how you search for…

Choose what and how you experience it……
