Our bodies, so vulnerable yet so resilient

I am often amazed by discoveries in our world and the realisation of the influence of one thing on another; the remedies, the cures for ailments from organisms we least expect (e.g. maggots, leeches, sharks cartilage, bees). One thing for certain is that within everything lie answers and solutions beyond our minds current knowledge and often imagination.

As we become more aware and observant of this wonderful connection the more we are able to utilise resources to maximise life and our planet.

In the meantime, in amongst the wonder, there inevitably will be sadness when faced with the decline of human, nature or animal form because of disruptions to the functioning of their systems.

From these declines however a trigger to explore new possibilities for survival emerges- from our wonderful scientists.

Last week when my 3 year old puppy came down with IMT (an autoimmune disease) I was saddened by the sudden breakdown of his little body. He had been my support during a difficult time in my life and now was in need of my support.

While the sadness of his condition penetrated through me, the reminder of the vulnerability for us all with the changes occurring in organisms as part of the natural evolution of life.

Vulnerable yet so amazingly resilient; within a few days, he was responding well to medication and it appears that quick detection of his disease has placed him in a strong position for recovery.

Yet another reason for respecting, nurturing, loving, caring and observing the body as it is our only physical vehicle through this time in earth’s evolution.
