16 Oct 2008When your logical mind knows what you’d like to be doing, but the life space you’re in is too congested for quality decisions; things feel on top of you, your head cloudy – it is a sure sign to STOP, take a break and slow down.
It may mean something as simple as asking a friend, colleague or family member to help out in some way or it may be just seeking their understanding for your time out. It may mean a physical break or an emotional break where time out from any disturbing noise in the head is created.
We have people in our world for a reason; they are our network, our means of survival so… call out. Generally the way of our culture has been to do it alone so as to uphold a sense of strength and show one’s ability to cope.
Let’s face it, everyone can do with support at some time in their life and when seen as a positive and healthy way to recharge, it may be something we do more of than less.
Think back when you helped someone out, it wasn’t only valuable for the other person but was also rewarding for you. As humans we generally do feel good when helping others.
Often it only takes a bit of time out and a good support team to cross the hump and get back to enjoying life with more clarity.
So take the time to acknowledge how you are going. If you’re not sure how you are feeling this may be a sign of the need to explore.
Taking time out to feel and use the physical and inner senses does provide a great opportunity for new perspectives to present.
So enjoy the benefits of taking the time to ‘smell the roses’.
