‘Pass it on’, the value of your thoughts and creations

Behind every creation is mind and energy.

New understandings, awareness, possibilities, perspectives or new concepts are often generated from these mind and body investments and what better gift than to pass them on.

Jamie Oliver’s ‘pass it on’ concept in relation to the knowledge and skills required to prepare simple, affordable, fun and easy healthy meals is a perfect example of the potential of sharing in this investment.

The quality of our communities can only be enhanced when these creations are selflessly shared for the good of all. Think about the impact of a ‘pass it on’ for an acknowledgement of someone’s value or an appreciation of another person’s skills or a perspective to help cope with our changing environment.

We each have an opportunity to share our quality findings when we change our position from observer to provider. It can occur every day in our interactions with others. For example if we notice someone struggling in an area or we’ve  discovered a strategy on how to keep active, we can ask ourselves is there something to pass on that may be of support.

When we recognise the value of our lives and experiences we may be more encouraged to contribute and also appreciate the contributions of others towards a quality community.

While not every recipe from the Jamie Oliver program will be suited to our needs and way of life there may be one that makes the difference. So too with our offerings and those from others; there may be one time when put in one particular way that the great gift is received. Never under estimate what is being passed on.
