Community spirit in times of tragedy

In: Relationships

The Prime Minister’s address to the wonderful response of the Australian community to the Victorian fires, reflected the words from his Australia Day speech on three things required in the face of difficulties; courage, resilience and compassion.

At this time of need, the spirit of these has been shown on many fronts.

As we involve ourselves and support in our best way, we may reconnect with a true sense of joy that these qualities bring.

It may lead us to extend this to others in need of support with their own life difficulties.

We have all seen the impact and gratitude of the small and simple yet powerful and comforting contributions such as a warm hug, ‘ears’ to listen and caring actions.

So let’s try to ‘find the way’ in ourselves to be more of what we know can bring harmony to ourselves and others.

Remember you and your presence is your greatest contribution on earth, so make it worthwhile.

Your investment in yourself will shift and empower you in your view and experience of life.
