Routines – a benefit or restriction?

In: Life Issues

As I performed my daily Tibetan 5 rite exercises, I was thankful it had become a routine of benefit and joy for my body.

I pondered on the concept of a routine and the subtle boundaries of being a benefit to an actual restriction.

When you look at your life you may be able to identify your own routines that are valuable and those that have become a little ‘tired’ or ‘constricting’ and in need of a shake up!

I discovered my own when my daughter suggested a weekend away with the girls. It plunged me into ‘doing’ it differently – that place where ‘possibilities’ come to life!

It was a weekend where time seemed to expand….

where the silence of nature with the scent of firewood, amongst the picturesque country setting created a delightful backdrop for heartfelt conversation with friends.

It was well worth plunging into the different setting. It was the difference that made the difference for me last week.

So perhaps look to find your own small ‘spark’ this weekend – a change in routine that brings the opportunity for the body to relax, the mind to de clutter and the spirit for life to be energised.

Remember when you are kind to yourself; others around you will receive the benefits…

There are many ways to possibly improve your current life situation – all of which begin with a small change to your ‘routine’.

So take a breath, pause for a moment and observe where your opportunity exists…. enjoy whatever it brings

With kind thoughts,

Tricia
