The effects of images presented to us in real time

The other day as I accessed the internet I realised the default page of the world news kept me connected moment by moment with the most stand out ‘disasters’.
I realised how easy it was to live life feeling ‘heavy’ and laden with the chaos and turbulence of all things happening world-wide.

I brought myself back to my own moment and looked at what was real for me in that.

I was fortunate to see the beauty and simplicity of the act of seeking information, writing some words, listening to some music, thinking about the preparation of my evening meal.

Yes there are things happening every moment all over the world and there always has been – however now we are receiving the culmination of tragedies in mass, through the various mediums, in real time.

I wonder if we had news in real time of the wonderful on-goings around the world – how we may perceive reality.

Perhaps take a moment to enter fully into your own ‘real time’ and switch off the TV and computer and notice how this life feels.

You may even sleep better!

Enjoy your fortnight,

Tricia
